About The North Coast Family Law Center

Lisa Burns has been a licensed attorney in California since 1997. Primarily practicing in family law, she has the necessary knowledge and experience in resolving those issues that often arise during a dissolution proceeding including custody, support, visitation and asset distribution.

Complementing her skills as an attorney, she is also a credentialed mediator courtesy of the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego, California, an internationally respected mediation training center.

In addition, Lisa Burns is currently a part of the adjunct faculty at Palomar College in San Marcos teaching law related courses such as Business Law and Legal Ethics. Last year, she was nominated for the Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award is designed to acknowledge and reward those faculty members who are deemed by students and fellow staff as excellent teachers in the classroom.

Practicing law, mediating and teaching all play a role in Lisa Burns’ unique skill to convey information in a non-threatening and easily understandable manner.
